1 - 1

Not to be outdone by Plod, the mayor of New Orleans, according to my friends at CNN, has stated that the New Orleans election is in "uncharted waters".
I don't know whether this sort of black humour goes down well in the South (Adam, can you hear laughter from your left?)(and I doubt whether they would be allowed to use the word 'black', and it would have to be 'humor'), but I suspect he would get my vote.

That's good coming from guy whose name is actually C. Ray Nagin. (Keep saying it, it comes)

Well spotted, Richard.
It is readers like you who make all the toil and agony that is involved in putting this journal together worthwhile.

That's in much the same league as Bush declaring, when asked whether he favoured Wade or Rowe (celebrated 1973 abortion case), that he didn't mind how people got out of New Orleans.

No, the only laughter I can hear realated to that comment is coming from me.

As far as the term "black," Mr. Nagin prefers to refer to New Orleans as a "Choclate City"

eyeputyj- Predicted future slang word for "You'll put jer eye out doin' that!"

Adam, would that be plan, mik or whit choclate?

Richard, I think it was very cruel to point out Adam's mistake when he had, on another thread, boasted of his superiority over another poster.
At least you had the good grace not to point out "realated".
