If you are one of the people who have been visited by me and have come here to find out the story behind the comment, there is no story. Just wanted to wish a few random fellow inhabitants of the planet good wishes.
For my regular readers (AMToNW), feel free to accept the wishes. I will be back to being a miserable old twat very shortly. And now I am going to bed, in order to avoid the temptation of watching something dire on the television and 'seeing in the New Year'.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As an act of penance for being a miserable old bugger over the Christmas period, I thought I would visit some random blogs and wish them a happy new year

Aah ya big softie, ye...
You missed James Blunt AGAIN?
I hope you didn't wish the Abi Titmuss blog a happy new year.
Geoff, I know not of whom you speak.
I saw James Blunt last night. I don't think he can do you any harm, Vicus. To be honest, seeing him was a bit like missing him anyway.
Vicus, I can't believe you don't know who Abi Titmuss is. Did you not see her on Celebrity Love Island. How the hell did you miss that!
No, you've got me there, Tom.
Was she on Any Questions, or the South Bank Show? Did I miss her in the RSC's production of Uncle Vanya last year?
My edition of Britannica refers to the great poet Umar ibn Abi Rabi'ah - was she a daughter of his perchance?
Surely no connection to Fred Titmus, as I would have heard her, had she demonstrated her bouncers playing for Middlesex.
bpantmm - sound of bafflement eminating from the over-50s.
PS nice to see you blogging again Tom, but I think you need a new title.
Hi Vicus, thank you for your visit!
Have a Happy New Year!
Best regards from Portugal
