I don't get it. You do the pottymouth stuff and they're here in their droves. You put a clip up of one the funniest men ever to have lived and they all bugger off. The only reason I used to watch Joe 90 was on the off-chance Stanley Unwin would be on it.
Richard, I would like to think that they are all laughing so uncontrollably that they are unable to type. My mother was the only person I ever knew who didn't like Stanley Unwin. I couldn't find a good example on film at youtube. I will post it if I do.
This site has some good audio and some of the history of Unwinese. It's half finished though which is a shame.
If you understand Stanley Unwin then you appreciate how gifted some comics are. Vic Reeves always springs to mind as being someone to whom being bi-lingual surreal is quite natural.
